Course Introduction
The Bronze course is usually run over a period of six to eight weeks, involving both theory and practical sessions conducted by South Port Surf Life Saving Club. The final assessment may take place at a centralised location in conjunction with other Surf Clubs.
The Bronze Medallion is aligned to the Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) qualification and is a nationally recognised qualification which can be used at work or as SACE points.
Prerequisites
• Minimum 15 years of age (on the day of final assessment)
• Financial member of South Port Surf Life Saving Club
• Complete a 400m Pool swim in less than 9:00 minutes (signed off by an authorised Club person)
